Who are we?
Founded by two best friends with a passion for science in 2023, The Lovelace Foundation is a provincially registered Non-Profit Organization whose value proposition is to create a welcoming space for self-identifying girls to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Our work focuses primarily on providing opportunities for members of the club to engage in outreach and hands-on activities in STEM fields, after-school STEM-related workshops for kids, and fundraising for organisations that align with our mission.

No Experience is needed! All self-identifying girls are welcome to join our club meetings every Monday at Lunch at UHill in room 1K0.
Our goal is to ensure young girls feel they have a place in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
Whether you have experience in STEM-related activities or not at all, we plan on providing you with the opportunities which broaden your knowledge and experience needed to pursue a career in STEM.
Who is "Lovelace"?
Who is "Lovelace"?
The Lovelace Foundation is named after Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace, better known as Ada Lovelace. She is considered the first computer programmer.
Even though she wrote about a computer (the Analytical Engine) that was never built, she realized that the computer could follow a series of simple instructions, a program, to perform a complex calculation.
The Lovelace Foundation is a tribute to her legacy as a trailblazer in both the worlds of Science and Feminism.
