My name is Aiza and I am a Grade 11 student at Uhill Secondary. For as long as I can remember, I have always been curious about how science shapes our lives and how we can apply it in various situations. The complexity of science is what drives my passion for it. I'm especially interested in chemistry, biology, and medicine. In my spare time, I enjoy baking sweet treats for my friends, going on a run, and crocheting. I'm thrilled to be part of an amazing organization which empowers women in stem!
Hello! My name is Mercedes and I am a grade 11 student at Uhill. I love science especially chemistry and hope to become some sort of doctor someday. In my free time I love singing, playing violin, reading, and walking in the forest. I am excited to learn more about STEM with you all this year!
My name is Aurora, a grade 11 student in University Hill Secondary and I am honoured to be apart of the Lovelace team this year! Throughout my life, I have discovered a deep passion and interest for science. It is a field full of nuance, complexity, and discipline that I am inspired by. I've always had an appreciation for its way to connect all of us together. In my case, I am most interested in the varying fields of biology, immunology, and the multidisciplinary field of healthcare sciences. I am so excited to work alongside my peers and promote equity in the STEM field by advocating for the importance of women in STEM. In my free time, I enjoy curating my next piece of writing, singing, and spending time with loved ones.
I am Tetiaka, commonly known by all as Tt. I am currently a Grade 11 student at Uhill Secondary. I love learning languages, deep talks, writing, listening to songs in foreign languages, reading (to some extent), asking thought-provoking questions whenever I'm unsure of complex topics, and anything science-related, especially biology. One thing I'm proud of is my love for learning new things. I'm always curious about how the world works, from Earth and beyond. Being part of this impactful organization is more than I could ever ask for, as I can contribute to a meaningful cause in my own little way.
My name is Angela and I am a grade 11 student at University Hill Secondary. I am passionate about biology and the behavioral sciences. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and listening to music. I oversee the Lovelace Foundation's finances and manage its Instagram account.

My name is Shira and I'm in grade 12 at UHill. I've always been amazed by astronomy, physics, and engineering. In my free time, I like watching old horror movies, rocket launches, and listening to music (I love Taylor Swift and the Arctic Monkeys). Currently, I am working towards a Level 1 High-Power Rocketry certification! I am excited to take action on giving women a safe space to love STEM!
After High School: University of Toronto
My name is Alina and I’m grade 11 at UHill secondary. When I’m not busy baking or reading, I enjoy spending time with my friends. For several years now, I’ve been marvelled by the ins and outs of science, especially chemistry and geology. As one of the presidents of the club, I’m so happy and proud to be able to share this experience to self-identifying girls with similar interests of mine!
After High School: University of British Columbia
I am Nupur and I'm a 12th-grade student at UHill. My classes of interest are theatre and biology. Acting is one of my passions as it allows me to express many different emotions throughout a scene. I also enjoy attending seminars that describe what the various health professions entail. We must speak out given that healthcare access is often restricted, especially for women in other countries. I'm glad that I can encourage the next generation to pursue STEM fields as well as provide a voice in the field.
After High School: University of Victoria
My name is Ana and I am in grade 11 at UHill. I enjoy learning about science and sharing the wonders of science with people through the Lovelace Foundations Club’s workshops. I believe in pushing for equality in STEM and making STEM education more accessible for self-identifying girls. I hope through the Lovelace Foundation self-identifying girls can nurture their brilliant minds and explore STEM out of curiosity, as a passion, or as a future career. Outside of my time at the Lovelace Foundation Club, I do theatre, I love to cook, and read books.
After High School: University of Toronto
My name is Elaine and I'm in grade 11 at UHill. I love arts, like painting, drawing, and dancing (when I'm not stressing over my coursework). I've always had a fascination with astrophysics, and biology is probably one of my favourite subjects. I'm super happy to be part of the team, and I love that I can help spread STEM to girls.

Hi, I’m Grace Chen a grade 12 at UHill! As a kid, I’ve always been intrigued by science whether that was going to the aquarium or learning about bacteria inside the classroom. In my spare time, I enjoy watching films with friends and I absolutely adore listening to music (I will listen to anything but country music I apologize to country music fans).
